Jennifer Jordan has built her radio career on country music only...and she wouldn't want it any other way!
It all started in 2003, when she dropped her cassette tape off on the doorstep of KADA. At that time it was 99.3 FM "Big Country." She had no experience and basically begged the station manager to give her a shot. He finally did and Jennifer worked at KADA for a couple of years, before transitioning to 97.3 FM KKNG "King Country" in Oklahoma City, where she did the midday shift. The west coast was calling her name though, and it wasn't long before she packed up and moved to Modesto, California. After relentlessly harassing the program director there for 30 consecutive days, she managed to land a job as the overnight DJ on Kat Country 103.3 FM, where she stayed for the next ten years. During that time, she also did a two year stretch as the lead news anchor for Modesto's Morning News, which aired on KESP 970 AM.
In 2014 Jennifer moved back to Oklahoma and started a family. She now has two boys and couldn't be happier to be back home in Ada, working in the same building where her career began. Jennifer loves country music of all kinds, but especially the old classics. She attributes her love for country music to her late grandmother, Wilma Lee, who had a massive music collection. They would often spend the day listening to Willie Nelson, Hank Sr. and Merle Haggard, while her grandmother whipped up delicious foods in her kitchen. Jennifer is passionate about good old fashioned radio and truly enjoys interacting with her listeners. To her, there are no strangers, just people waiting to become friends. If you ask her, she will probably tell you she's a sweetheart of a gal...if you ask her husband, he's likely to say she's a walking trainwreck that's responsible for every gray hair on his head. He wouldn't be wrong.
While it's true that Jennifer Jordan can be a bit on the crazy side, it's also true that she loves a good time, loves her listeners and loves country music...and really, what more could you want in a DJ?

I’m originally form Wyoming. I started my radio career at the tender age of 14 at my home town radio station, KASL in Newcastle, Wyoming. I then worked my way through KROE AM/FM in Sheridan, WY and KVOC in Casper, WY (All during the 80s) before making the move to Oklahoma City.

My first job in OK was at KEBC. I then spent 9 years at KOMA (I would mention working at a radio station in Georgetown, Grand Cayman, but I was only there for about 5 months before I’d had enough Caribbean Paradise!) Then back to OKC where I worked at KKNG for the first decade of the 2000s!

Now I’m in Ada and having fun on the radio again, and I love the afternoon show because I can sleep in and stay up late and still be at work on time… more or less!

I’ve been a drummer for as long as I’ve been in radio. Currently I play with a band called Dr. Smith out of OKC and a band called The Regular Joes out of Midwest City.
